VITAL Kick-off Meeting in Tbilisi lays the foundations
The VITAL project was officially launched with its Kick-off Meeting, held at the Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy in Georgia from February 23 to 26, 2026. The meeting brought the six consortium partners together as a common starting point, establishing the project’s strategic objectives, expected outcomes and performance indicators.
Over four days, the partners worked through the full project agenda:
- Detailing the work plan, implementation stages and timeline;
- Establishing project governance and internal communication mechanisms;
- Defining financial management and reporting procedures;
- Describing approaches to quality assurance, monitoring, evaluation and risk management;
- Approving dissemination and sustainability strategies.
The meeting served as a platform for strategic coordination, strengthening institutional cooperation and laying the organisational and methodological foundations for successful implementation.
Beyond the formal agenda, the Kick-off Meeting consolidated the partnership around shared values and goals aimed at transforming higher education. Joint decision-making, clear definition of roles and a common strategic vision were key outcomes, setting VITAL on course for the three years ahead.
